Pacific Space Centre & Macmillan Planetarium
Formally known as the H.R. Macmillan Planetarium, the upside-down funnel-shaped building next to Vanier Park is now the Pacific Space Centre.
Very popular with kids, the centre features a range of interactive exhibits and shows on a variety of space themes, as well as the usual planetarium displays and the best laser shows in town. Check out the web site for details of what’s on.
The observatory, in an adjoining building, offers opportunities to view and photograph the moon on nights with good weather. Phone for details.
Tip: Check out the giant crab sculpture outside the main entrance.
