Canada Place, Vancouver’s Prime and Picturesque Landmark

Home of the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centre, the Cruise Ship Terminal, the CN IMAX Theatre (see separate listing), shops, restaurants and a first-class hotel, Canada Place was established as the site for the Canada Pavilion at EXPO 86. The distinctive sails of the roof are a Vancouver landmark.

In 1998 the Cruise Ship Terminal at Canada Place. was home to over 250 vessels carrying in excess of 550,000 passengers. You can often see cruise ships tied up alongside it, especially in the summer.

One of the world’s most distinctive meeting places, the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre has over 172,000 sq. ft. and accommodates groups numbering from 10 to 10,000.

The Prow restaurant at the seaward end of the promanade has good food, and in the summer you can sit outside and enjoy the view.
